On Saturday, June 24, 2017 a charitable fundraising event will take place in downtown Edmonton at the south legislative grounds and accompanying roadways. Racing for a Cure raises funds in support of The Kids With Cancer Society. The event offers rides in exotic vehicles around a closed road circuit with a donation made directly to the Kids With Cancer Society. This family centred charity event will also feature a show and shine, food trucks and kids entertainment. Last year Racing for a Cure raised over $565,000 for Kids with Cancer Society from this one day event.
Due to your close proximity to the event, the Racing for a Cure Organizing Committee would like to make you aware of the event and its possible impacts.
Rides and entertainment will take place on Saturday, June 24 from 10 am to 4 pm.
Road closures will be in effect on Saturday, June 24 from from 8 am – 6 pm.
In order to provide the necessary safety zone for the running of our event the following roads will be closed to traffic from 8 am to 6 pm on Saturday, June 24, 2017. It is with safety in mind that we must restrict all vehicle access to this area and we apologize in advance if this causes any inconvenience.
